Opening in 1815, this brick building was known as “David Messinger’s Tavern” – Granville’s premier tavern and guesthouse. Now named the “Warner House”, after Willard Warner, the Civil War veteran and Senator who lived here. This historic home offers 5 guestrooms & suites accommodating 1 to 4 guests. “The Buxton Inn is wonderful! Charming! We loved the overall experience at The Buxton Inn. We would definitely stay again. Stayed in The Raspberry room, very spacious and clean. Victorian charm, but updated comforts. We were escorted to our room, a nice description of the history was given, anything that we needed, we could call. The bathrooms (2 in our room) were beautifully updated in marble, clean and well-heated (winter), plenty of thick soft towels were available.”
